selling the girlfriends trx 300ex. for a yfz450?

hello all! i'm just looking for some input here.
i bought a 1995 trx 300ex for my girl friend about a year ago, i went through the entire bike to make sure it was safe and fun for her so new brake system tires carb rev box exhaust and intake and much more. the thing screams haha yet looks like a95 haha I've debated on buying plastics for it, the set is around 5-600 shipped to me. i'm into the bike 1600$ with purchase.
now i have been offered 1500a few times for it which I figure that's all it will ever be worth. i have been looking at my local classified site and i can get either a 2005 yfz 450 bone stock with 30 hours on it, and it is super clean. or a 2008 yfz 450 with Ron woods intake and exhaust with about 100 hours, eithe one i can get for 2500$ and to have the newer bigger cleaner looking bike over the trx is worth the 1k difference to me haha. but i don't know anything about the Yamaha's so i'm nervous about it.
and yes my girl knows how to ride and can handle the power i think, she rides my xx no problem she just doesn't like how heavy it is. i'm just curious if anyone has experience or advice about theYamaha

Love mine, very reliable, super fast, and handles like nothing else.

I've never needed reverse on it since I can spin it on a dime, but maybe a girl would have more need for a machine with reverse.

i am glad to great about the reliability, she can ride the crap outta the 300. and yes admin, i'm a little worried about that for her, she only rides with me so I'd be there to help if needed. she isn't the type to spin it around haha maybe she will get more adhesive with the new bike! but i will be stressing that point to her. is there a comparable bike with reverse so i can give her an option, i don't know how she feels about the raptor. i personally don't care much for the Honda 450's each one I've rode feels the same as the 95 ex lol. im just happy she wants to go bigger, so if my bike is down i still have a power house, not the squished 1-5th gear and only going 40 haha

why not a 400ex? all the power she"ll ever need, has reverse. the only yfz450 ive ridden that i felt ran decent was a 2012 with the mikuni carb on it. all the ones with the FCRs ive neve been a fan of. and the kfx with 100 hours on it will need a rebuild very soon if it hasnt already

the biggest issue I have found with the sport Honda's (besides the xx) is the way the front end feels (to me)i just rode a 2010 450 a few Weeks ago and it feels like the 300 does right now ha ha just a weird feeling to me. i and the 300 out accelerates any 400 Honda I've met, it just has no top end that's why i have kinda dismissed the Hondas. and i'm not set on the Yamaha just want to learn as much as i can about it. I've ridden one an 07 i think and it was good, a little small for me, not an all day rider for sure but had good smooth power and felt nice all around. i plan on looking at an ltr as well, but in the end its her choice. i just wasn't to be well informed haha!

i feel the same . let her ride and choose i think a 400ex would be perfect for her i rode one for years . if your set on wanting her to get a 450 look at the honda with the hrc kit they run just as good as the yfz but has less top end. but no matter what you get there is allways goning to be something or someone faster
