Twist Throttle conversion kit recommendation

I am looking to change from the stock throttle lever using your thumb to a twist throttle. I saw that matlock uses a motion pro twist throttle, does anyone know if they hold up well and why grips would have to be used with it

id go with the duall gasser by terrycable or moose racing they are both twist and thumb, twist throttle arent as good on atvs compared to dirtbikes, twist throttles get kinda scary in the technical stuff and climbing, twist throttle is good for long roads and straightaways sometimes in the bumps on an atv with twist throttle the way it bucks up and down will cause you to gas it when you dont want too!

I think the same thing about a thumb throttle, I just don't see how people can ride with them. If I had to use a thumb throttle, I would quit ridding, can't stand them. Just depends on what you know and feel comfortable with. I have never had a problem with a twist on a quad.

I have Motion Pro throttle kits on both my 700XX's, no problems whatsoever. I have used Motion Pro kits on all my quads actually, can't say they have ever given me an issue.

Each to their own !
If you are used to dirt bikes then a twist comes naturally, if you have never ridden a dirt bike then a twist may be dangerous..
those dual gassers i dont think are as good as cracked up to be.
Issues with catch playing up to change between one and the other, and thumb part in awkward position so not comfortable to use...
