Harley Boys/Gals

Thinking about buying the Sporters 1200 and from what I've read it seems to be a good bike. What do you think of it.

Also since I'm usually riding Japanese bikes, what the process of their shifter since I've noticed it has 2 shift pegs, guess one is for up and the other is for down shifting but which one is which.

Thanks

harley's are for gays, not boys/gals. nothing wrong if your into that though. leather, studs, long hair and earings are the attire of choice. lots of guys like the looks of another guy in chaps. not me though. i'll keep my quality made high performance jap bike.

I am not into the Harley thing either but the bashing was uncalled for. Personally I wouldn't own one but I know a lot really decent people that ride Harley's.

Hey,
Harley are ok, I had one, Fat boy low, unless you get an awesome deal on it I would look around. I was looking at another harley but the dealer wouldnt come down below msrp so I found a 08 arlen ness victory jackpot (see album) 100ci, 6 speed, efi my wife bought the 09 cory ness jackpot 106 ci, 6 speed, efi they both are great looking, easy on fuel 40mpg highway about 35 stop and go but a little rough on the butt over 150 mile trip.
think about what kind of riding are you planning, then TEST DRIVE EVERYTHING, dont take the first thing you try, if they won't let you test one don't buy it.
Don't pay for the name, pay for the ride.

The shifters are set up the same 1 down 5 or 6 up, the lever is set up that way so you dont have to use the top of your boot to shift and put black marks on it.

Its amazing how far a KFX 90 will fly if you go fast. 15' is her current record.

Thanks for the info, yeah, before buying I'll be renting one for the day and see how it goes. I'm not really a Harley fan but want low style cruiser. Victory are also expensive and am not really into buying used one.

Sportsters give a REALLY HARSH ride, look into one of the softtails. The older you get the more you will appreciate it.
