A couple weeks ago, an empty tanker hit the Bay Bridge... Damaged the tanker and did about $3 million damage to the bridge fender... but NO oil spill.
What is confusing is that it was reported that they'd unloaded 350,000 barrels of oil at the Shell refinery in Martinez, CA. and were headed back out to sea... back to pick up more crude oil.
As far as I know, no news organization has asked a very important question... "Why were they so far south?" You don't have to go anywhere near The Bay Bridge to get back out to sea from Martinez.... see attachment (map)
Red/yellow star is where Shell Martinez refinery is... Red line is path tanker should take.... Purple/pink star is where they hit Bay Bridge.
