Its amazing how far a KFX 90 will fly if you go fast. 15' is her current record.

Still in production? Ever? With the 700xx out, I would think a craptor or renny 1000 would be for now. Ever.....prolly 250 or 500 tiger. Different eras though, I just remember the 250 Tigers being able to eat a stock Banshee.

That question was posed modded or stock. didn't ask production or not. They were just asking max not accelleration.
Now my 06 polaris 900 switchback could hit 100mph stock if i had some good snow. where as my wifes 08 RMK 600 is for playing in the powder she can only do about 65 which she thinks is just fine :-).

I really don't understand why people always ask "how fast will it go"? As far as top speed, ANY ATV will go fast enough to hurt you. But an ATV designed to trail ride isn't meant to do top speed. It MAY have the capability, but generally the terrain you're riding on won't support it, and more times than not the rider does not have the skill to do it safely. I get a huge laugh with people claiming the went 100mph on this or that just because they did engine/head work/exhaust/cam make 20hp more than stock or whatever. But never changed the gearing. Hit the rev limit and it's all over no matter how much power you make. That is the TRUE limiting factor. And almost every single story I have ever heard, the person never had a GPS with them to log the run. Just a seat of the pants calibrated butt feel I guess....

Agreed, but passing your riding buddies on the way to the trail is cool too.

I agree fast is fun but, now that we play more in the mtns torque and traction is king.
My sled has a max speed option that saves the speed until you reset it. It said 102 so I don't reset tha's a good mark. my wife doesn't have a speedo so we ran side by side.
I do reset the trip meter and the GPS track and my miles we very close given the hills and track slippage. so I believe my speedo is pretty accurate.
I always like inching up next to them, look like I'm giving it all its got, and then drop the hammer and dust them.

I know this is not what you meant but.....here you go.

The highest speed on a quad bike (ATV) is 315.74 km/h (196.19 mph) achieved by Terry Wilmeth (USA) onboard his ALSR Rocket Raptor version 6.0, a modified Yamaha 700 Raptor at the Madras Airport, Madras, Oregon, USA, on 15 June 2008.
The ATV was augumented with a hybrid rocket thruster. The speed is the average of 2 runs in opposite directions.

I tried to find the video, but it must have been removed.

And there you have it.
