XX Speed run

Well I went riding today, There is a small stretch of highway guessing 3/8 of a mile. I thought I would check my Vapor Speedo with a GPS. I knew the speeds read slow compared to what I had been running. Speeds seemed close until 40 and above then it grew apart a bit. My speedo showed 67 the highest before I let off to catch my turn. I looked down at the GPS and it read 82 mph max. 15mph off. This was going up a slight grade also.

Specs are

Stock gearing with 22x9x11 Kenda Kutter's. HMF slip on, Dobeck Programmer, No toil Filter. Stock basically otherwise.

My max stored on the speedo from a long downhill run was 77 a few months back. That means 93 mph top speed in theory. It was right at the limiter and hauling hard, I knew 77 couldn't be right and turns out it wasn't.

I am going to check again at the same stretch of road when I can that the vapor showed 77. I will confirm with GPS this time to see for sure. Gonna change my tire size settings until the speedo matches GPS. More testing to come.

Absolutely confirmed going 82mph uphill with lot's left via GPS. I think that downhill run was easily 90mph because it was a bit scary honestly and the 82mph run today wasn't too bad feeling in comparison.

We will see what happens.

The best (most accurate) way to set up a Vapor is with the travel distance of the wheel in one revolution... NOT marked tire diameter... Tires usually are not actually what they are marked... A marked 22" tire may actually be 21 7/8" or something like 22 1/8"... That difference can make a big difference in what your indicated speed is.

I done the roll out measurement but it didn't work out. I'm just going to get it matching GPS and use whatever size it needs to be the same.
