Little sahara Oklahoma

I'm planning a trip up there this weekend. Anyone close enough to be interested?

Planning on heading down there the last week of April. There will be at least ten of us, with five XX's coming from NW Missouri. Really looking forward to this, as it has been six or seven years since visiting. Heard that it has changed alot since our last trip. How big of group will you be with "notford"?

7 years? That place can change in a few hours when the wind is up, lol. With that many of you, keep in mind it's now $10 to get in (unless there's noone at the gate)
I've invited everyone I know around here and told them to invite anyone that may want to go, so there's no telling how many will actually show. We (9 of us) had plans to go when the ice storm swept the country and stopped us. Two of us are going regardless, 4 have backed out, due to work or other reasons, several ppl in limbo that may go, and at least a dozen extras that haven't said yay or nay. Only 2 xx's one with a 13tooth, and one with sand star paddles.........I'm curious who will win that one?

Yeah.......I understand the sand blowing around and changin', but I heard the campground had more and nicer amenities? Is that $10 per person per day? Still have to have the flag touch a certain height? Noise restrictions? I think we all had paddles the last time, are they really neccessary? Anything else we should know or bring, besides water and a few tools? Just been too long and do not remember all the "I wish we had brought this or that" comments. I'm thinking the 13 tooth might be nice down there as I remember the sand really ate alot of horsepower.

20-30 mph wind and snowing. Didn't make it up there.
I don't know how much they've improved, as I've only recently been going, but they are nice. Bring toilet paper. It sucks to walk all the way to the bathroom sqeezing your butcheeks so nothing leaks, to get there and find no tp!
Sand tires are not neccessary. That may even have been why you remember the sand eating up horsepower.
$10 per person per day. flag has to reach 10 ft. If you don't have a flag, little sahara power sports has them and their prices are better than most places. no noise restrictions.
I have the 13t sprocket, and stock tires. Launching hard in second gear I come out of the hole faster (or at least as fast as) most other quads with sand tires.
Tow straps are nice to have. Bring a long one in case your the one being towed. Goggles (some kind of eye protection) tinted for day, and clear for night.
If you've got them, cell phones, radios and GPS units can come in real handy.
As the dunes shift sometimes the fence gets buried. pay attention to were you are especially on the west side, there's a lot of open nothingness out there.
