There are a few of us going to Hatfield and McCoy trails (WV). It will be a good time to meet some of the forum members.

When we go, we have been trying to hit every trail system, one a day. It is more than doable, but the only problem is that every trailhead is like an hour away or more. Even if it is only 25 miles LOL, it is very slow going.

2008 700xx; Power Bomb header with power core 4 exhaust, Power Programmer III, pro armor nerfs, prm products control front and rear bumpers and full skid, 10" ITP rears, ITP Baja's fronts, RZR 2's all the way around, Uni filter, 13t sprocket, CCP steering Damper, DS450 shock swap, Dual Gasser Throttle, bar risers and Moose barkBusters. 730XX kit plus other engine mods!

You can, only during daytime though. Obviously have to follow all rules. Can ride right in to get food or gas. A lot of places welcome the riders. Do you know where you are staying yet? I've stayed in Gilbert a few times, Logan, and last time we staying in KY. Logan is a bigger city, has one trail head, and is the only one I know of that is very restrictive on the quads, due to it being a city. All the trail heads have plenty of parking. Make sure you get permits, considering April is the start of their busy season, I am sure the cops will be out. They have a few mules, gators, and a few cherokees they roam the trails in. If you are taking the XX, I would try to take as many spare parts with you as you can, as no dealers down there carry any parts for it. Each location has trail maps, found it best to put them in a big freeze bag so they don't get wet, and the trails are well marked. Some of the greens in areas (mainly coming to and from trailheads) can get a little gnarly and rocky in places and could be labeled as blue, so if you have kids or something, definately be more than careful. Some of the blues are labeled as such due to them having Coal company vehicles on them, so they are kind of like regular dirt roads but are labeled Blue so you can expect to see actaul TRUCK traffic (pickup). Also, at each trail head take note of which trails are closed. Most of the time they don't have anything on the trail itself saying whether it is closed or not. But they do have the occassional rock slide or downed trees. Most of the towns have a car wash that is quad friendly as well. We usually stay in houses instead of hotels, as the ammenitities are better, and usually just the same price, and most of the places are pretty nice. Some of the places are just little cottages though. All the trails are 2 way as well, so you have to be on the lookout for oncoming quads/bikes/uts. Most of the times you have to pull over to let people by as the trails aren't too wide.
