1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove 10mm bolt and 2 allen key bolts to remove side faring.
3. Remove sprocket with 14mm socket on exstention for the reach.
4. Swap your sprocket reaching through the same hole.
5. Put XX in neutral to make sliding sprocket on easier.
6. Put everything back together and adjust your chain.
7. Make sure sprocket has the grooved side facing IN!

I found this to be much easier. You dont have to worry about any hoses, spilling any fluids and flipping your XX on end. If anyone wants picks I'll do the swap just for grins...
I just installed a 13t using this method. It took me 10 mins. I didnt need to put it in nuetral and the old one that came off did have the groove part facing in, just to confirm. To loosen the 14mm sprocket bolt and to tighten it I just used my foot and pressed on the rear break lever to lock the brakes up, worked great. Just sharing. Here is a pic of the new one installed but not bolted in yet.

This is a WPS brand sprocket I got from local honda dealer for $16.95 and it was listed for a CRF450, fit right up fine....
