Just purchased a low hour 700xx, looks spotless right down to grips and tires. I have a few questions because I'm stupid to fuel injection and the bike in general. Seems the guy had mire miney to play with and add things than he did ambitions to ride it. The bike came with an upgraded front sprocket, full Barker exhaust, a uni filter with outerwear, he not running a lid, had the top end or piston changed to 11:1, I have dearler paperwork, and a emc or e something programmer. I have no idea where it's set, I e-mailed them, so here's my questions.
Are the add ons ok?
I hooked up a trail tech voyager today, after idling for maybe 5 minutes to check tach, engine temp, ect I wacked the gas abd some smoke came out, looked black, so I'm guessing rich? Should I leave it, mess with a programmer I know zero about, or should I be looking at other things? It's real clean..... Just not sure what to do..... Any help would be great

Here's a couple links to a similar controller, hope it helps. I've herd of ekj and ehs programmers but not sure what you have, anyways the dobeck style fuel controllers are all pretty similar. As far as upgraded front sprocket, I'd switch it back to stock or a 15t, the 13t seam fine for a stock quad but the larger fronts are easier on the motor, imo.

It has a EHS programmer, I e-mailed them, I know nothing about the bike at all nit bit for a grand how van I beat it, here's some links to the pictures. Any help on anything else I should look for or over, like if the exhaust isn't good, things I need to know. Seems like a nice machine, but any information on these would be awesome. Here's a link to some pictures if that helps if it work's

Nice quad, sounds like you stole it! Your exhaust is one of the better ones out there. To check if it needs re-packed just knock on it, if it sounds hollow it needs repacking. One thing to check is the right rear axle for play, it needs re-lubed and Honda failed to mention that in the manual. If you don't get any info from emailing EHS just call, Eric is pretty good at customer service. Just let him know your running his controller and the Barkers pipe, he sold many of those as a a package deal. Also you said no air box lid, you may want to invest in one of EHS lids.

I called Eric, he was helpful, programmer is a bit confusing, again I'm running a ehs programmer, and a full Barker Exhaust, not lid, bike runs good, but occasionally stalls at low rpm, no real pops, wide open it hauls, but in first, second and third from real close of not wide open it misses, not sure if I'm hitting the rev limiter, but it's definitely when I'm on it hard for sure. Common...an issue, fuel.... Or limiter... I'm kinda lost, I played with the programmer, and beyond his 3rd setting it just gets worse.
