New guy from NE Indiana

Hi guys, I'm looking for riding buds in my area, plus of course info on my new toy that I haven't found yet. It's a neat machine. I've only had it a week and only ridden it on my 5.5 acres so far. I'm excited to go stretch it's legs and learn how to ride it. Hopefully I'll be able to put down some decent times to compare with the 450r it just replaced. I also have an Arctic Cat DVX400 and some other toys. My machine is stock. I just ordered 23x7x10 razr2s and 22x10x11 razr tires for it. That's probably the only upgrade I'll do for awhile since I'm wiped out now (maybe a factory exhaust mod if the guys on here think it's not a bad idea). The next upgrades will probably be in this order: good oil and oil filter, bumper, grab bar, nerfs, pipe, filter.

Welcome to the club! Looks like you found pretty clean 700xx. As far as your upgrades go, I'd definitely add the L8ton sway bar, and some skids to the list. Make sure you d/load a copy of the service manual here. And if you need the link to manual just ask. Also here's a great dealer on eBay that has the Honda Nerf's, skids. bumper, & grab bars, CHEAP!

bansheephreak,
Welcome to the forum. Great machine and fun to ride. My only suggestion is, after some riding experience on the XX, is to consider changing the shocks from stock to aftermarket units such as Fox or Elka. There are many threads on this forum for you to search, extolling the virtues of different brands. JMHO
Enjoy,
Sid

Whew, aftermarket shocks are probably going to be out of my price range for a long time if not forever. I've heard good things about the bigger anti sway bars. I definitely do want skids, good call on that. I also want some quality handguards (metal frame). My bud has the Honda nerfs and he told me that the 23" tires don't clear. He also has a pipe, filter, fuel manager, but we were neck and neck even when we traded. Weird. Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the 700xx as well. You're gonna love it. Here's a cheap upgrade, well not cheap but "Affordable" upgrade that won't break the bank or get the wife too pissed off.... try a 13 tooth rear sprocket. I picked up a couple for my 2 700xx's from Rocky Mountain ATV pretty dang cheap. Easy to install. Give it a shot. From yer pics posted looks like you got some nice toys. I'm here in northern Arizona (4 corners area).
