My 700 has elka stage 3 shocks on it. Those give a very comfortable ride. I do not have anything to compare them to because those were on the 700 when I bought it.

If you want a decent set of shocks, you can still get the Elka Legacy series stage 3 shocks for $1200 a set, or $1400 is you add the rebound to the fronts. If you shop around you find sellers giving extra's like front guards if you order from them. I think I got a t-shirt and a set of guards. I was trying to get the rebound clickers, but no one would toss those in for free, lol. You can order the rebound clicker and change them out yourself, to save a couple dollars. You will need to heat them up, cause they use red loctite. Years ago I paid $1400 just for the 2 front stage 4's. Now you can get the set. If this still sounds to pricy, there's lots of mods for front shocks, like the ds-450 & ltz450 ect. Those shocks you can find for like $200

I put a set of Elka Legacy series on mine last year and am very happy with them. I picked them up for around 1,100. It made for a much better long day in the saddle. Elka also makes very high end shocks, if your racing professionally. If your a weekend warrior like me, Legacy is most bang for your buck. Fox used to make the float series for front and rear but I don't believe you can get them for all 4 corners anymore. Good luck and happy riding!
