looking to move from brute to 700xx

Hi everyone,

i been looking this forum for some time now and decide to join it. I have a 2006 brute force 650i that i modded but lately i been looking at the 700xx and i like the idea of a sport bike with irs. So right now i'm looking to probably sale the brute and buy a 700xx. The only thing that scare me from that nice bike its the part, how hard its to buy repair part for that bike?? i don't want sometime that will stay 2 month in the garage because i cant get the part.

the last 2-3 year i only use the brute for trail riding and i would love to have something more sporty and still have irs and i can bring the wife with me. will the bike will be ok for 2 biker? i'm 6 and she 5 feet tall.

so far parts are not hard to get,but as far as the 700xx for riding double i wouldnt recommend it. i would keep the brute for her to ride and you get the 700XX they dont ride double very good theres nowhere to put your feet or hold on to either!

Agreed! They are not easy to double on. The turning is already bad on these but put a second person on the back and it gets even worse.

mmm interesting. right now we ride 2 on the brute with no rear seat and she don't mind it. when she with me i don't ride fast. i would like to keep both but that mean, having a bigger trailer and she can't drive the brute, to hard to steer

yes i was looking at sxs but the wife is with me only 1 time out of 20. that mean no adrenaline when alone on the sxs. the best would be a 700xx for me and a small sxs for my wife and child. but that too much $$$

Sly,

If she is only going to ride with you one out of 20 times, I'd say go with it. I used to ride doubles all the time on quads and dirtbikes. On the XX, it will be a little harder to turn with the added weight in the rear, but if you don't go crazy you'd be fine. It's always fun to come out of the corner and burp it into a wheelie when they least expect it. I've rode double on the XX quite a bit as well. Just take it easy until you get the hang of it.

I've doubled on mine as well, but I don't recommend it. The Trx700 likes to run not creep, it will get hot and burn your right leg if just staying in lower 2 gears. And the recommended weight for the XX is like 243lbs I think?
