Engine Ice

Anyone ever used this stuff in an ATV? Thinking about getting a gallon of it. Just not sure if it'll really lower my temps on the trails. I've used Redline Water Wetter in my drag and street cars and it worked great. How does this stuff compare?

It works!! Temps where I live get up to 120 in the summer, I have been running Engine Ice in my YFZ450 for 2 seasons runs about 20 degrees cooler. Haven't put it in my 700 yet, just remember to change often like you do your oil thats what I do anyway!! Every other oil change.

You have to change it that often?? What's up with that? I thought you only had to change coolant about every year or so? Is this stuff that much different?

I had some shipped over here from RMATV for the summer. So far, I haven't changed my coolant yet, but will let you know once I do. Temps are 120-140 during the day, but luckily I work night shift right now. Haven't needed to worry about it right now going out at around 4am.

Yikes 120-140!! That's freaking insane!! I'll probably go ahead and get some. Cycle Gear has some in the store on sale for $16.99 for a half gallon.

No kidding!! And it's not even Summer yet! Ok, it hasn't really been hitting 140 yet, but it will by next month. We have a radome (golf-ball looking dome) housing one of the satellite dishes here, and it'll get over 150 in there during the day! No thank you to that.

Here's what a radome looks like...

I race with mine so I like to change mite often, better to do maint. than a rebuild and a DNF. So I'll change mine after like four races thats around 400 miles of desert racing.
Don't know if I need to do it as often on the 700 will be talking to W.M. tomarrow and ask him about it, that was on my Yamaha yfz450 changed that often.
