Question regarding UNI filter

Looking for some help here!

So If I change my air filter to a UNI, my understanding is that it changes the air flow into the engine. Do you have to have a product like a PC3 to make adjustments or can you just go without it. I would think since its fuel injected it would compensate for fuel adjustments, but I may be off my rocker with that lol?

Hi CJ, the FI on quads compensate for altitude and temperature but not for added air flow, hence the need of the PC3 or Dobeck type controller. If you only change the stock filter for the Uni you should be fine, it's when you take the lid off, remove baffle, add an aftermarket exhaust, etc that the controller becomes a must.

Thanks, I am headed out tomrrow for a week long trip and was not sure if I should put the UNI on yet since I don't have a PC3 yet and didn't want to get stuck without my stock filter. LOL
