K & N Vs Uni

Hey guys,

I'm ordering a bunch of parts for my new 700XX & I'm debating between K & N VS Uni. I use K & N in my other atv & XR650, works fine but I've seen that most of you guys run Uni's. Can you give me feedback on what's the best filter for this machine? I'll be running full pipe PCV with the auto-tuning module, that's going to mainly be my set up.

Thanks

I agree with scuzz. However will give you facts: K&N will flow better even with outerwears than the foam. How much more? I have seen tests that show 0.5hp in more power. Not worth it in my opinion. It really comes down to how dusty it is where you ride, if too dusty stay away from K&N (made of pressed cotton by the way, not paper) if not too dusty or only sand then go with K&N as it flows better and easier to clean too.

Don't use water under pressure to clean a K&N though, you'll ruin your filter.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. The worst part was i did it the day before I was supposed to ride. That's how I ALSO found out the 250r filter will fit if you're in a pinch.
