Exclamation Stator Replacement/Oil

Ok so not totally mechanically inclined but somewhat savvy. I just replaced the stator on my 2008 TRX 700xx, when I pulled the cover off, there was a lot of Oil that was in the case with the stator. My question, is this normal or do I have a broken seal somewhere in the crank case? Wasnt sure so I cleaned up the case and put it back together...put a charge to the battery for a little while, but still wouldnt start, gotta do some more electral testing, but wanna know about the oil first...Thanks all!

when you drain the oil a lot is left in the quad that wont drain out !
guessing the stator is one of the places where it stays !

Thanks, did some more research, and yes there is supposed to be oil in the stator case.

So....When I pulled out the old stator, and tested it at 200 ohms, its reading was between 12-14, so now i'm thinking its not bad at all, but wasn't getting a reading when it was installed, maybe just did it wrong. so after putting a charge to the battery and trying to jump it, still wouldn't start. was getting the warning lights flashing sometimes, or would turn off after i pushed the start button...Any help? Thanks!!
