bigger bore

new big bore cylinder arriving soon . might send the head out for a little work . or may just do it my self. just how well does the stock head flow ?

751 ,barker pipe,290 Web cam,+3 stroker,TB bored to 46.8 and moved back from head 1 inch,+3 big bore , +1 intake valves, Hard Welded Rockers,KW springs, ported, clutch mod , air box removed ,Cat oil mod, dynojet commander V w/auto tune , lowered rear end , TRX450R front shocks ,

If you got the head off and the coin to spend might as well send it out to Team Alba Racing - ATV Racing Parts & UTV Performance Parts for some extra go fast. Hope you bought your kit from Alba they offer a pretty sweet deal for Club700xx members plus Nate and Rich Morel are probably as close to factory mechanics you'll find for this platform. #fact




I also vouch for Alba because they are the best, they are honest, and they're a cool bunch of guys..

For $349 shipped on the head, does that include new valve guides, or just p/p work?

That price is for Alba's big bore kit. Piston kit and cylinder labor.

2008 700xx with lots of goodies.
Part time IATVHSS racer (when time and $$ allow)

A tad pricy for piston kit and bore, cause I'm sure they want your jug. But I know they use the high end CP pistons. Those are like $220 and up with gasket kit. So about $100 to ship and bore. Not to bad for top quality work and material.

I was just curious on the head work, because I have a spare head with atleast one cracked valve guide. Be a nice spare to have ready, for next catastrophic failure.

Yeah the CP piston is beautiful and that's all they use. You definitely get what you pay for with these guys..
Whether mild or wild they are comparable\competitive to Cuervo and Racers Edge but I think the difference is that Alba's focus is endurance racing so they create reliable power. Cuervo and RE are excellent builders my teammate runs a cuervo head (Alba tuned) with a Stage II Hot Cam.

I was lucky to buy my xx with the Webcam setup

But with that said you could just do it yourself I cleaned up one of my spares real good a while back.
