Trail tech computer/ steering damper??

I am wanting to install the trail tech computer with the dash/barclamp setup they have. I am wanting to install a cncc steering damper that some of you have used. Will they interfere with eachother? Im not sure where the steering damper is mounted in relationship to the bar clamp. Anyone use this setup? Thanks for any help

If you mean the CCP steering damper... it's mounted at the base of the steering stem and clamps to the frame and stem down there.

There is a couple of threads on mounting the CCP in the "Suspention..." section. The 2 things about the mounting is that first your rectifier needs to be moved a bit... It's not in the way, but the wires are. The wires come out at the back and stick out. The instructions will tell you to turn the rectifier around 180 degrees so that the wires are coming out of the front. However, if you do that, you'll find that this will stretch the wires... not enough slack. You can remove some of your front plastic to get to the wiring above and un-clip to give yourself more slack. Or, you can make a bracket to tilt the rectifier up at about 45 degrees... which is what I did. The second thing you'll need to do is move your front brake lines back a bit. The "T" connection behind the steering stem needs to be moved back about 1/4 - 1/2 inch. Some have just used a screw driver and bent it back... but bending something like that makes me nervous. I choose to cut off the frame bracket and re-weld it back the needed distance.

BTW - You'd have to do the same things with the other steering dampers out there... Elka and Precision.

he is 100% correct, your only issue is the vapor will mount differently if you change your steering stem as will the size of the steering stabilizer clamp. If you plan to change the stem do it first and then order the stabilizer and specify the clamp size.
