I've been very happy with my HMF pipe. I liked it better because I could get the black pipe, also because it's made in Ohio. The FMF pipes are still made in the USA, But I think the shape of the FMF pipes look better on dirt bikes imo.

I only wish this was a option when I ordered my exhaust awhile back. This exhaust kit is nothing short of sexy, I mean it's just plan nasty & killer looking! And it comes with ceramic coating, which is something I don't believe FMF even offers. Ceramic coating is a very pricey option on the Barkers pipe through EHS Racing @ $200.00, and I believe at least a $100 extra on Sparks. This seller is the same one I ordered mine from, and he's been know to make decent deals on the best offer option. I'd guess you could get it around $550.00 maybe less? No doubt in my mind what I'd buy when I need a new pipe.

Keep in mind if you go this route, all HMF pipes are usually not shelf stock. They are made custom ordered and will take 2 weeks or so. Seller shows 2 in stock but I don't think so. That's why it shows like 2-3 weeks delivery!

The competition 1 is the one with the removable inserts right?. If so I thought about that one and figured I would just run the stage three all the time anyway so why bother. And if you read the fine print on the stage 1, it tells you not to run it very long or it could do damage to your motor.

The HMF Blackout is only available in the Performance series. You may consider a Red tip on the Black out exhaust, to blend in with the Blk&Red combo of the quad. If you do get this exhaust be sure to share some photos before and after the install.

M_Quick did you get a full exhaust or just slip on? Is full exhaust worth it for just recreational riding? plus you have to buy the fuel injection controller when you go full exhaust right?
Ooo btw the blk DWT front wheels with GBC 22" look awesome and handle great. I actually just bought the rear matching set and will get them airbrushed blk bc they only come in polished.

squeak14:

I did purchase the full exhaust. You will see alot more hp gain with the full exhaust. And yes you need a fuel programer, in my opinion the quad needs a programmer even with factory exhaust.
