Engine Noise

Hello everyone. My first post but been lurking for a while.

I purchased a 2009 700xx last july. Ive only ran 93 octane in it since Ive had it. Anytime the engine is under heavy load I can hear a jingling noise in the engine. Climbing a hill or fast acceleration. It does sound like fuel detonation. I installed a fuel programmer and adjusted the valves. Neither eliminated the problem.

Anyone else experience this or have any ideas?

I read that on another post on here somewhere about exhaust bolts coming loose. But no I checked everything there. All mounting bolts on the stock exhaust and heat shield are tight and solid.

Is there a way to find out if something is bad internally without tearing down the engine? It doesn't smoke.

Under the troubleshooting section in the Honda service manual for engine knocking these are the listed possibilities:

--Worn piston and cylinder
-- Lean fuel mixture
--Faulty CKP sensor
--Use of poor quality fuel
--Excessive carbon buildup in combustion chamber
--Ignition timing too advance (Faulty ECM)

If any sensor was bad, wouldn't the engine light on the handlebars be on?

Knocking was the closest thing in the troubleshooting section. Timing chain noise can be heard during idle from what Ive read.
