Stock vs. FMF Powerbomb vs. Big Gun header

First off, im on a budget, so no Barkers for me lol. Alright so i can get a brand new FMF Powercore 4 full system for $500 shipped, or the Big Gun Evo R full system for $430 shipped. Or i have a chance to get a used Big Gun evo R slip on for $150 shipped, and use my factory header. Is the big gun or fmf powerbomb header noticably better then the factory one? If so which one is better out of the 2? Im doing a 715cc big bore kit, hotcam stage 3, along with fuel commander and k&n filter with no lid. I ride thru tight woods alot, but do take it down the dirt road and give her all she got! So power up top and down low is a must. I would love a full exhaust dont get me wrong, but i am on a budget and if im only going to gain 1hp at WOT or down low i might just save the extra cash for a sway bar.

You mention budget, then say no barkers followed by a $500 system as a option?
If $500 is in your budget, than so is a Barkers exhaust!

You don't mention the HMF brand, have you considered them at all?

IMO the FMF shaped pipes look better on a bike than they do on a quad, but that's just my opinion. A full exhaust will gain you approx. 10% more hp. And for a full exhaust you will need a programmer, if you don't already have one. If you could only afford a programmer or a slip on, I'd go with the programmer. Then save more cash till you can buy full exhaust. I see a Big Gun Evo R for just under $400

Considered HMF. I thought barkers was almost $700. If i get that Big Gun evo R system for $400 id get there optimizer to match it for $215 and a k&n filter kit for $85, right theres $700. Or i just saw for sale on fleabay, Sparks big core Full exhaust, with k&n filter with billet base plate, and pc5 controller for $795. How does that compare to the big gun exhaust and optimizer? Only $95 bucks more.

The Sparks is a better exhaust than the Big Gun and the PCV controller is worth the extra $100 by itself.

I have found a really good deal on a Leo Vince head pipe ($88 shipped to my door). I then bought a Leo Vince Slip-on which worked ok but I did not like the re-packing. I recently bought the HMF Competition slip-on exhaust. It comes with 2 inserts to lower the sound/power. And I can send the silencer back to HMF and have them re-pack it.

Sounds like the better choice, and well worth the extra $95.00. Alot of people say Sparks is the best. Last I seen Barkers was $499 through EHS Racing. Keep in mind with the PCV you will need a tune. Also $795 is the price of a Full Barkers system with lid and controller. All you'd need is the spark arrestor and a $25 uni filter. Probably talk Eric into the spark arrestor, or at the least a cool t-shirt!

Question the seller if the PCv comes tuned for stock quad or if they added a map for the exhaust and filter mods. 9x out of 10 the PCv comes tuned for stock quad or bike. If that's the case then you can spring for a auto tune from power commander, or take quad to a dyno shop for a full tune. Or power commander has like 10 maps available for you to download. You can just pick the closest one, and for the most part will probably work okay.

If you were to go with the Barkers setup from EHS Racing, Eric would already have the controller set for the exhuast, filter and lid or no lid or any other mods you may have on quad like cam or larger piston.

Before you pull the trigger have you seen the HMF Black out exhaust?
