I always thought popping or backfire on deceleration, was from to much fuel UN-burnt fuel that reaches the hot exhaust.. Have you changed your spark plug? I run the NGK platinum laser plug in mine.BKRGEKPB-11 3452

Try easing off the throttle instead of just all the way off at once. And I'd put on a 14t front asap if I was you.

I just put in a new NGK plug but I do not remember the number. The dealer had to order it so I know it was not a regular plug.
Why do you recommend the larger front sprocket?

Easier on the motor, and with your mods you shouldn't need the 13t like a stock 700xx.
