Front Sprocket Removal

Hi all, Great to see the forum is still going strong after all these years, itís always my first port of call before working on the quad.
Has anyone else had issues in removing the front sprocket from the shaft, Iíve never had this happen before on any of my Honda motorcycles but this time no amount of tapping with a drift and hammer would shift it.
In the end I had to buy a 3 legged puller to remove it.. that did the trick.
I must admit itís been on for a few years but was surprised to find it stuck on the splines.

Did the splines on the shaft look good after pulling it off...was it just very rusty? I haven't had that issue myself, but I've only changed it once so far.
