Need transmission help

I bought a 700xx off a guy, and the top end was off of it. Put it in, and transmission will only shift down once and up once. I pulled the clutch side case off, every thing looks good, reverse light comes on, thought maybe it was something with the reverse, so I pulled the reverse rod off, and it still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

I would speculate the shifting shaft is the problem. it can be removed with out removing motor yet not far from it. yep its a pain in the ass doing it but still better than removing the motor. leave the front side bolt in place, loosen it, its going to be a pivot point so that you can lift the rear of the motor up to get the shaft out

I've got that side of the motor apart, what part of the shift shaft do you think is the problem, it doesnt appear to be bent or anything?

which hole, The shift shaft? which I pulled to take pictures of, or the reverse rod, which I took out to see if it was hanging up on something? I've never split 700xx cases before, but I have done plenty 250R's, 450R's and YFZ450's
