Question on my KN proseries airfilter

Hey everyone i recently purchased a KN proseries airfilter and was wondering some things about it. It is the paper one and not the foam one.( I hope i didnt already go wrong with purchasing that one) But i heard you spray them with some type of sticky stuff. Now is that true or you dont spray the paper ones, or do you spray the inside of your air box? I was also just wondering how you guys feel about the paper compared to the foam ones. I see alot of people with foam so thats why i was just wondering. Thanks againn

1. First there are fans of both paper and foam filters on here...probably a few more foam fans than paper but....a wash to each his own
2.On K&N filters they make a kit with oil/wash in it....use it and don't substitute foam filter oil....not the same.
3. Some people spray the inside of their airbox with foam oil like PJ1 just to get the dirt before it even hits the filter...i dont but i use foam.
4. Foam=cheap and just as good if not better protection...especially if wet...easier to carry a couple of cheap foam filters than $$$ K&N filters.

your filter is fine...take care of it and it will take care of you.....as with most mods on your bike do your research...if you read blogs too much you will doubt everything and anything that you do....go have fun.

And I am no execption to this but remember that on the internet every idiot is an expert.

No...completly different. Spray some PJ1 on a table and some K/N oil...K/N way way way thinner and less tacky
