waving valves

ok i was riding my 700 today i cut it off to talk to the wife and when i started it back there was a taping in the top end but after riding for a min it goes away i thing my valves might need adjusted Honda shop gonna do it for 65 dollars give some ideas

That's a pretty cheap valve adjustment job but it's easy to do yourself

Yea $65.00 is reasonable, but you could buy yourself some sweet gauge's for that price!

My dealer wanted 185 to do it! For 65 I'd go for it.

Wow, that's what I was greased for the 20hr, maintenance. Which included valve check and adjustment.

have you checked that the oil in it is full? its rather straight forward to do if you have the correct metric tools and feeler gauges

i dont have feeler gauges i have a the tools i could ever want metric and standard it retarded the tools i have just no feeler gauges lol and yes my oil is full i actully just changed it

Download the service manual from this forum and buy some feeler gauges and do it yourself, its very simple
