Clutch Issues?

Alright been having a high pitched whine coming from the clutch side of the engine for a while now. Tore it down the other day and found that the outer basket had some issues. The gear on the back side of the outer had about 3 to 5 thousandths play. Thinking this was the problem, I bought a new basket and just installed it. The bike is still making the same noise. The noise increases with throttle and it does it all the time , whether it's in gear or in in neutral and you can hardly hear it when idling. Once you hit the gas though it is very loud. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what could be making this noise?

well if it makes the noise when in gear and the clutch pulled and while in neutral with the clutch lever released they it sounds like its engine related

You talking about the small thin bearing that rides inside the clutch hub right?

Put a stethoscope on various parts of the engine and found that the noise is coming from directly behind the clutch cover. DL I think it is as you suggested the little throw out bearin has gone bad. Gona try to find a replacement
