I can't tell you from experience on the XX. Try searching since nobody wants to personally help ya. What I can tell you is I owned both in duals for my Raptor 700. My opinions below.

DMC- extremely easy to install, looked decent, performed awesome. I sold them because they are loud as hell and wouldn't pass a new 96db noise law even with quiet core inserts.

Barkers- fairly difficult to install and never lined up symetrical, looked awesome asside from sitting at different angles, performed just as well as DMC's, met the 96db level with QC inserts. Another downfall of Barkers is you will want the billet straps and they are $$ expensive upgrade.

I will probably get the Barker single for my XX simply because Tim Barker produces one of the best performing pipes that is still reasonably quiet.

As for filter, stay away from K&N unless you are only riding on pavement. Foam filters provide way better filtration than K&N. Your piston rings will thank you in the long run. I am going to see if Amsoil produces an air filter that fits the XX. They have an awesome no oil gauze style that has massive flow and industry leading filtration. To clean them you just use low psi compressed air.

Personally I don't like the barkers the figment isn't good, thin flange on the head pipe and the packing really sucks. The headline corrodes easily and doesn't hold it's shine. The only thing that I like about it is the sound. Sparks is easy to repack, fitment is great and the packing lasts a really long time.

i even had mine ceramic coated and it still looks like shit ,coating eroding and the thin flange i bent torqueing it to the manual spec ,fit ment on header hit the case and almost wore a hole in it before i realized it. like you said the sound is awesome but im gonna try a different brand next time.
