just picked up my xx from the dyno

below is the chart, im running an uni filter, ehs lid with vents, pcv, and barkers exhaust. this compares with and without the pcv. no real gain in torque, but 2hp. i am curious what others have got with a similar setup. i was expecting mid 40's slightly hoping for 46 haha this was at about 4400 ft as well. also dumb question but where does the gearing come into the torque numbers? i'm down one tooth on the front. does it just control where i have torque not how much?

Are you saying 2 more hp after the tuner? 44 hp is about right for big3 that's like a 10% or better gain over stock!

yea the chart compares red no tuner with blue the shops tune. and that's what i was thinking its a good gain. i got to ride it up and down the street last night but i can't wait to get down a dirt road and really feel the difference. haven't got much riding in this winter. i wanna line up with my buddy now and see the difference. we were head to head usually when i was stock and he has a slip on and filter.

was that with nobbies on it? graph looks a little wavy so figuring probably so looks like it wasnt reading like it had slicks on it

1 tooth down on front wont effect # to much on a xx generally something with less gearing will show a little better front side curve but it wont read as high in peak in over rev on bigger cc motors it just revs to quick on smaller motors like stock 450's it can show higher # everywhere because they dont make the tq to pull it effiecently.

if you over gear it it can show less numbers everywhere on mild builds but bigger hp builds will usually show close to same thing even with a 1-2 tooth difference on front

that actually helps me understand alot! thanks for the info. and unfortunately i want able to be there for the actual runs. the guy said he ran with slicks, and i did see them in his shop. but i am not sure if he ran them. i don't think I'll be going back again i wasn't to impressed with their service. price was good though.

most peeps that do xx that havent done them before probably assume the have a normal wheel pattern so i imagine they assume they gonna use slicks then when the dont fit there like crap guess its getting knobbie tune

yea the owner said they have done 2 others in the past, they showed me the numbers on them. one was stock and ran 37 the other i don't remember i think it ran 42.both charts were wavy to. but hey don't say you can do something if you can't haha. but i'm just glad to know close to what it is pushing. i cant wait to get out and ride I've done all these upgrades and I've only been able to go up and down my street ha ha the snow is killing me! i still think my favorite mod is your lid Eric nothing like peace of mind! i might be switching back to the stock front sprocket. 1rst and 2nd seem really small now

Depends on the terrain you ride, as well as tire size. Where I live the the 14t is fine, after the big3. But one trip to West Virginia, and I went back to the 13t. So if you ride a lot of technical stuff and do some climbing, I'd stay with the 13t.

yea i think i will end up staying with the 13, but i'm curious how it will be with the big 3 and where i ride. i ride pretty much every type of terrain one weekend open desert dunes the next wooded trails. it was the first mod i did to the bike.I'll probably change it tomorrow and start my teixeira tech a arms!
