Advice on my build

So heres what im thinking.. i have about 1000 bucks to spend on rebuilding my bike.. as it sits now the only thing aftermarket on it is the fmf exhaust with the powerbomb header. Ive done a little research, and heres what I was thinking:

CylinderWorks +3mm 727 big bore kit

Stage 3 Hot Cam

DynoJet PC5 Programmer

Unifilter

Ehs Airbox lid

Port and Polish my head - Im not sure about this, and I dont know if it fits into the budget at the time, which i why I put it last. How much is a port job? How much gain do I get from it? Who would yall recommend to do the work?
What do you guys think? Im open to any and all suggestions!

IMO there isn't any reason to do a big bore unless you are going to do a port and polish, and possibly bigger valves. That's my two cents though. You could go to a higher compression piston instead of the big bore, and do everything else, and save yourself a few hundred. A port and polish is pretty reasonable depending on who you have do it. Some guys charge a lot, others dont, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The airbox lid isn't required, as long as you do regular maintenance on your air filter. If you go with the HC3, you should think about buying a better battery as well, to help turn it over easier. You could talk to Eric at EHS for a port job, Velociraptor, or DL. They have all done them on the XX. If you do this build, you should spend some money on getting it Dyno'd as well.

2008 700xx; Power Bomb header with power core 4 exhaust, Power Programmer III, pro armor nerfs, prm products control front and rear bumpers and full skid, 10" ITP rears, ITP Baja's fronts, RZR 2's all the way around, Uni filter, 13t sprocket, CCP steering Damper, DS450 shock swap, Dual Gasser Throttle, bar risers and Moose barkBusters. 730XX kit plus other engine mods!

PCV for $450 where do you shop? I guess not here>>>

And no way I'd build a motor and settle for a slip on, just my $0.02...

He has a full pipe already. I'd go Hotcam 3, CP 11:1 stock bore piston, velocity filter kit, tuner of choice and if you have a dremel do the P&P yourself. Be around $800 with new gaskets.

Is your cylinder ok? If so, you are going to get more bang with p&p, cam, and hi-comp piston. If you have to get a new sleeve and want to go big, the cam can be dropped in later if you don't have the funds now. Just leaving some horsies on the table for later. Either way, you will need to do the p&p to make her flow. Jut my opinion.

Thanks for the advice so far folks. I bought this cylinder works big bore kit last week for 450

So I have about 500$ left. I already have an exhaust and header as I said earlier. That power commander says it fits 2009.. mines a 2008.. will it still work???

So, big bore kit and pcV will match up well together performance wise? Also, what am I going to do about programming? Not sure if there is a dyno around here.
