450R steering Dampner

I got a Elka /Fastway steering dampner and managed to make it fit the T-ReXX. Little bit of milling required , but now it is fitted.
The reason for doing this is $808 for the precision one or $505 for the Elka one . It is a bit rough but will make new mountings ,when I get time.
Pics to follow.

2008 TT-ReXX , 2003 400ex and 2014 CRF250r.

Have you riden with one of these before?. Don't set the high speed to fast because it may feel good over the rough but it locks the front on a nose down first jump unabling the steering to be corrected. I didn't realize what was happening until I'd kissed the dirt for the third time.
