HELP!!! Hiper Tech 3 rears....

Hey all. I just mounted up s brand new set of Hiper Tech3 wheels on this thing and have run into a HUGE snag. My rear upper a-arm is rubbing against the inner edge of the wheels on both sides.

I have not rode on them since my bike is down for maintenance, but the simple action of rolling it in and out if my garage has carved grooves on my brand new wheels. If you look at the attached images you can clearly see that the arm is riding on the wheel and digging in. I slid a piece of paper in between the arm and wheel for reference.

Everything I read and everyone I spke with prior to purchasing assured me there would not be any figment issues. If anybody has any experience and/or suggestion, I would really appreciate it. These cost waaayyyy too much to have them destroyed before even riding with them.

I am also pretty certain they will take care of it. They are all big companies that are pretty good about this type of stuff.

Looks like there a 4:3 offset, which would explain the issue. I see the Razr2 tire so that tells me there 10" wheels. And you can't us the factory offset on a 10" wheel or the a-arm will not clear. Of coarse this is just my speculation, I have no idea what size wheels these are.

Okay, this is all confusing. I was led to believe that the 10/7 wheel with 4.0+3.0 offset would fit fine and have no issues. I even referenced this thread within the forums for clarification:

And yet another : https://www.club700xx.com/vb/9-chassi...adlocks-2.html

okay w/out further review it looks like 5:2 is factory not 4:3 so the 1" less on inside should clear a-arm. I just got some #'s mixed and still not sure, lol

looks like it`s time for some minor clearanceing on the wheels and the arm. know any one w/ a lathe? how about the thinnest wheel spacers that will clear your studs.

I really don't want do have to go the spacer route. I thought about shimming a little off, but don't want to do anything that will weaken the integrity of the wheel.

I have heard of people with RAZR's doing this with their Hipers, but can't find any good instructions.
