Mud Tires

I'm wonderin what mud tires you guys use on your rear wheels. I'm new here and new to the trx700xx. I was given a free '08 and it has all stock wheel measurements.

Welcome to the club! Free is always good! Which means you should have a decent budget for tires and perhaps wheels. As you may know the 11" rear is a odd ball, so choices are limited. Your asking about mud tires, I mainly run trails. I've had good luck with the Kenda Kutters on the rear. Alot switch to 10" rear wheels to expand your options. Then you will be able to find mud lites bear claws ect. Personally I like the GBC brand tires.

Your best best is the ITP Mudlite. It's the only tire you can find that goes up to a 24". You will need to change your front sprocket.

If you went with 10" rears you can get 22x11x10" tires. Just letting OP know 10's open up options. But does widen the rear alot! Which is a good thing for certain types of riding, and yet bad for others.

Would 23x8-11 rears and 23x7-10 fronts work? I'm looking at the Kenda Bear Claws

They would work, but how well is another thing. What type of use are you planing for the 700xx?

Woody trails and there is usually mud. The occasional sand at St. Joe State Park, but that would be a rare occurrence.
