That is way high. Flat black is a common color that all shops will have in stock, so its not a custom order. That saves money right there. I would think around $100 for all 4 is more like it.
What condition are they in? If they are all dirty and gouged up they may be including the cost to clean, sand off rough edges, and maybe even bead blast. Then $200 is probably not too bad.

Honestly, for my area, $200 sounds about right, figure $50 a wheel. Even if they are in perfect condition, the coater still has to prep them. (Remove any existing coating, sand blast, etc.) Applying the powder is the easy part, prep is what takes the most time. Figure the powder itself is not expensive at all, it is all the labor involved, someone has to be paid to do it.

I have found the price of powder coating varies greatly depending on where a person lives. If you have called every place that powder coats around you and they are giving you the same price for the same work, then that is what it costs in your area. Other option would be to ship them somewhere, but I am sure once you add in shipping to them and back, I would be willing to bet it would be more expensive.

D is correct. $200 is a great price.

Doesn't matter what shape the wheel is in it should be bead blasted and degreased. Even brand new wheels should be bead blasted to make a rough but consistent surface or the powder will chip and flake off. And blasting is not a quick process.

So if it is to be done correctly and u want good quality the. $200 is very good.

No one these days understand that what u pay for is what u get.
