Why did my parking brake stop working?

I have a 2008 TRX700xx in lioke new condition prolly doesn't have 15-20hrs on it. It has been parked about all winter till yesterday I took it out and ran it up and down the road. Well as I got back and parked it I locked the brakes on it but it will still roll like it isn't even on. What could b the problem with it? It is like new and super clean so nothing should be corroded. THANKS!

you must have drove off with parking brake on the smaller your rear brake pads get parking brake works less they are useles get the only way to keep it up is to keep new pads on at all times which is bs get rid of it and get an asv perch youll save weight and you wiil have chock the wheel or leave it in gear so it wont roll

Yea the parking brake sucks. It is easy enough to adjust, but will only last one ride at best till it needs adjusted again.

You just have to adjust it every ride or so. There is a bolt sticking out the side of your rear caliper. Set your parking break, then break the jam but and righted the bolt in untill "snug" then set jam nut. Check to make sure parking break releases. Should be a 8mm and 10mm wrenches. There is also linkage up by handle bar you adjust to take up some slack

mad

The parking brake is crap and useless... If you adjust it so it holds the quad, it will also drag the pads a bit while riding... that drag will cause you to have to adjust every ride. It's easier to remove it and park in gear.
