Welcome to California. I'm headed out tomorrow for a SORRA race just east of Clearlake, CA.... XC and MX racing at Oasis MX, will return Sunday. Hope you're able to make it to Hollister Hills (just a note: They charge $5.00 per day to ride there... thats $5 per tow vehicle... not per person or per quad)

P.S. SORRA stands for "Sierra Off Road Riders Association" ATV racing/riders club.

Hey sorry about the delay there. Well I finally made it to Monterey and got settled in. I'm in the process of getting my quads registered and stickers put on this weekend. I went to the DMV and what a show that was. I paid about $104 for tags to ride off road. All I need now is my titles and the CHP to certifiy my quads. I want to go check out Hollister Hills this weekend, still not sure if I can make it.

300 miles is the distance that I have to drive to get there. The area is actually quite small @ about 200 acres with easy trails which makes it good for kids, but it's still fun for adults. Check this link for more info and pics of the area: http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trails/info/california_12364/ride_5ea4.htm

When you get to California give me a call (415) 665-9323 and we can arrange a nice ride at Hollister Hills or another area.

Google mapped the Samoa Dunes way up North right, with 300 miles of beach trails or beach and woodland trails? When I get out to Montery I will have to take a look around and see what's what. I might even take a trip down to Glamis but I don't want to get run over by anyone. I will look even further into this Samoa Dunes area and see what I can gather from it. Thanks for the feed back and information so far.

New Member Here. Just saw your picture from Eurka CA. Nice, but the question is that beach still open for ATV riders. I will be changing bases from FT Bliss TX to Salinas CA. The only open ocean riding area I am aware of is down South.
