natural aberdeen maple, i'm just guessing tho...even though i have been a painting contractor for quite a while, it's hard to tell from pictures, i think ash, hickory, maple, white oak or alder can be made to look that light too, so i would check with a local pro...
it doesnt appear to be stained, just polyurethaned...I use semi-gloss on cabinets, High-gloss is too shiny and looks fake...
if you need to match it, take a door or drawer to sherwinn-williams, theyre pretty good at that stuff, i have been using them about 10 years now without a hitch...

what kind of wood is this?
curious if someone can tell me what kind of wood/finish it has highgloss i know that....
