Baxter Cheers Eric, I knew it was somewhere. Hopefully this will help me out for a single digit number for 2013. Then I can let "Frank" out.

there is no clearencing required for the hc3 even the bigger cams there really isnt much clearencing required. You need to run stiffer springs that handle higher lift because of coil bind (spring can only see a certain max lift before its full compressed) and also the spring needs to maintain a certain level of seat pressure all the time and certain lifts. Weaker/cheaper springs cant handle the lift that comes with bigger cams generally they just run into coil bind because they are usually a pretty heavy spring but some dont hold enough seat pressure to control the valve and make sure it closes before the piston wacks it.

on the xx heads when i port them i push the guides in further than stock to handle higher lifts that is the main issue with not being able to go larger on lift is the retainer to guide clearence but most cams are under .450 lift and its not to hard to make them capable of more. I have a .465 lift cam here now that i need to try with a bunch of duration that should be pretty strong

settings for hc3 are on 2nd page of that project xx thread baxter

Baxter Got my HC3 today and fitting it tonight.
What settings on the EHS programmer are you using with the Big 3 and HC3 ?

I am running G3.5/Y3.5/R3.5 and GB3.5/YB3/RB3 with the stock cam and the big 3 at the moment.

Something like that. Or they'll cause the valves to hit the piston. Piston to Valve clearance is a big deal.

EHSRACING all stg 3 hot cams are the same (supposed to be anyways) thats model specific obviously. If other people call different stages of own cams then they are gonna be different

cam profiles will have certain specs lift, duration and centerline basically when, how long, how high the cam will open the valves. Cam design a little goes a long ways on certain aspects

if you hold a big cam in your hand and a stock one you can really almost not tell a difference by eye but there is a big difference
