Jah_82 stock tires will go in the sand, they will climb hills too just not that good and for longer ones it will take lots of skill and more run to get it to go. With the bike being so heavy the best tires for long or steep dunes are haulers, no questions asked. Also if you go into any tree shots like we have here in Oregon (half the fun of the dunes here) then you want to stay under 50 inches wide or else you will hit trees and it will knock you off track and you will get stuck at the bottom and have lots of fun getting the pig out again. If you dont do lots of hill climbs or tree shots then the itp sandstar v type paddle will be good. Been riding Oregon dunes for 15 years. I am not sure but I dont think glamis has many tree shots, but this sumemr I plan to go down there and find out.

Sorry misread that initially, must have skipped a line while reading. Anyway, Dealer wants 6500 for the new ones in the crate, IMO you got the much better deal

Quick pretty much said it, I'd probably go with the itps also but everyone has their own preference. You will probably need a 10inch rim because I don't think they make any 11in sand tires but I could be wrong. I've also never been to the dunes but from what I read, the oems hold their own in the sand(reviews as well as people on this forum). I'd get them from Rocky Mountain, they seem to be the speediest and most reliable shippers from my experience

That way you keep the oem ones for trail. If you have the money probably the skat~trak's but if like me i'd go with some itp sand star's. But like i said i've never seen the dunes...hopefully someone else will steer you right...
thanks for the advice but i ended up finding a brand new pair of 10" rims and sand gear paddles for $100 on craigslist, lol it was a deal to good to resist. And to be honest they performed very well!! Despite all the bad reviews on them, i figure i can wear those down and then get me some sandstars to match my fronts, thanks agian!

nacho As Jmm24 says, the 700xx oem tires do fine in the sand. I have done a lot of sand riding with the stock tires, and have no complaints. I do run lower pressure (2-3 psi) if the sand is really fine and loose. Unless you just have to have maximum traction or you can get them for a really good price, I would not even bother with paddles. But that is me.
