I have 24" Red Eagle tires with a 13 tooth sprocket and haven't had any issues climbing hills or technical trails but I do also have the PCIII with Bo map which made a big difference.

5W0P3 Yeah cheap enough to try the 12t sprocket. I would think with 24" tire should make it like stock 14t with no big3. I highly recommend getting the big3 though... you'll recommend it too!

You're right, I wouldn't need it with the big 3 but I'm not going to get the big 3. I always buy the cheap ones. $8, they've never done me wrong in the last 6 years of riding.

smo0oth1 If you don't have the funds for the Big 3 then try the 12 tooth and let us know. You'll only be out 25-35 bucks for the sprocket if its too low. I wouldn't think you would need a 12 tooth with more power though.

5W0P3 I still think 13t is perfect. If the tires gripped more, I might move to 12t though. I dont need to do 90mph through the trees anyway

scuzz I'd get mine from Rocky Mountain ATV...you'll just have to order it for a 450r...it'll be the same one that fits the 700xx though.
