alot of it has been cause no one knew who was going to pay for it. On the flip side, it did take them a while, but they had to wait on a lot of parts. It's a completely new motor now. I think the case is the same i'm sure, but everything inside it is new. Btw, if you trash your motor for any reason, a rebuild is $2175.xx

5W0P3 UPDATE:

Finally talked to the dealership, presented my story they listened, they're going to see what they can do but they did get Honda America back on board with covering all the parts. Now all that's left is $750 and they're going to see what they can do about getting a discount on that. Hopefully it all works out and i can get it back for half that. I really want my quad back. I miss it. It's been in the shop since 10/30/09.

Lots of work for sure, especially the spring pocket placement from Honda and some water jackets are in the way to really wake the cylinder head up.

TBarker I also have a flow bench that we have been working on a +2 valve head.
I don't think you will ever see 80hp out of an XX without welding up the ports and completely re-doing the head.
