riccles88 Hope we’re talking about the starter !

Unrepairable was the word from auto shop as no casing to match

Honda want 340cad tax but found aftermarket for 210 gonna bolt her on at weekend

Saw eBay one but I’m being impatient And I’m in Canada so after exchange And tax I’ll be close !

Deephaven Wow, that is little and cute. Explains why the 700xx sounds like there is no way it will ever start....but somehow always does.

riccles88 So after checking the battery 100 times and all the connections it seemed to me the starter was at fault

Took off exhaust / cam chain tensioner / starter motor ripped her apart and boom all the magnets had fallen out of place and smashed together..

Anyone know if that’s rebuildable? Or do I require new 🙂

Thanks

Deephaven Lazy starters respond to a nice firm tapping with something hard sometimes

Starting issue advise needed 🙂

I have a brand new 0 hour trx. I’ve now put about 8 hours on. After an oil change and some adjusting oil levels she decided not to start.

Currently I’ve charged the battery , checked with a new battery both holding voltage. I can hear a spin / whine fast clicking sound from the relay area . Nothing From the starter motor . All cables seem intact.

Anyway of checking the starter motor without pulling it off?

Any help appreciated .
