EM2(SS) for my single term. Did 2 stints in Portsmouth shipyard. Refueled the Norfolk and decommed the Rickover there. I like doing the maintenance thing, but Praxiar standard plants required too much travel and time away from my son. For that I could have re-enlisted for the cash and done a shore duty...

Ours don't run that high for what we do. Biggest mechanical is a 90 ton and biggest hydraulic is a 150 ton. I saw some of the big ones like that at the shipyard in Portsmouth, NH, though. Quite impressive. We have some safety (scare tactic) pictures on the server of a guy that got smashed in a mechanical press (not U.S. based) after he crawled in to work on something and someone hit the switch. Makes the Saw movies look like Dr. Seus...

crwh45 Droby, what rate/rank are you? And RedMan is the good stuff. I had a huge wad in once on the SUB, and then we heard over the white rat that "the capts in the ER, needless to say I was dozing a lil bit b/c we were doing 2 kts to no where and I was swallowing the spit,I woke up b/c I was the EO, and swallowed everything. He walked into manuevering and witnessed me puking my brains out LOL.
