ranger19jn I ordered the american star tie rods off ebay

they are 149 with ends and 69 just for the rods
I ordered a set with ends and a set without

I figured thier lifetime warranteed against bending and breaking so if I do bend one ill send it in and still have the spare

here is the link

Captamer71 who makes better tie rods? and where did you order?

TRX700XXX Thats good, at least you finished the race. I quit after 3 laps and 1:14 into the race because my arms turned to jello haha. I think my CCP stabilizer doesn't work like it used to. Now that the tie rods are off, there is a bit of play before i can feel the stabilizer resist which i don't think there should be??

ranger19jn Yep I managed the whole race with it but I ordered two sets of HD rods with a total of 210 so hopefully it will not happen again and if it does I have a spare set

TRX700XXX Your lucky then. I bent mine pretty bad so I bought new ones that are 25% stronger and the ball joints that connect to the steering stem are like cemented on and i rounded the nut so i had to buy them too. That's $106 down the drain for hitting a stupid small tree.

ranger19jn For some reason my tie rod was easy I had it off straitened and back on before my partner finished his lap under 15 min and I finished the race with it
But I know what you mean their usually a pain

TRX700XXX Good job! I raced gncc and bent my right tie rod, its not very fun to replace...I'm still in the process.
