MY exception is with Oregon being in the #1 spot ahead of Auburn. Even though I come from a Pac 10 school, I have concerns about Oregon. My concern is in how they played in the first half of their game with USC. A #1 team should not be that "see-saw" with a team that's not in the top 25 and get the #1 ranking. JMO
USC was a ranked team, but the bcs cant rank them. they were 24 in the ap poll. Oregon may not be better than everyone, but they have lots of depth and amazing cardio. they just out last everyone. Oregon is a second half team due to that fact. you also have to look at the fact that they give up a lot of points due to mistakes my the offence, and stupidity in getting flagged. Auburn is not a better team than oregon, they do not have as impressive of an offence, and the D isnt good at all. SEC has a losing record vs the pac ten over the last decade, that should say something about the bias rankings.

The Pac-10 is now the Pac-12, but I think they really should have gone with the 12 Pac.

The Rose Bowl is really frustrating when you have to share a national championship with Michigan because the top two teams don't get to play each other. Nebraska whooped a really good Tennessee team (Peyton Manning and Jamal Lewis) and Michigan barely escaped a win vs Washington State which was good but definitely no Tennessee.

At the same time Michigan may have won and we wouldn't have a 1997 NC, but I don't believe that would have been the case. It is just too bad the Rose Bowl kept the two teams from playing. It could have been a great game.

In all those years it never produced a "National Championship". Yet we still had to listen to Keith Jackson talk about how great the big 10, pac 10, and the "joke bowl" was. When in reality the "Orange Bowl" year in and year out was relevant in producing a National Champion.

Losing Colorado is really no big deal. But I have to admit it sucks to lose Nebraska. That is why I would love for them to go out of the Big 12 on a losing streak, and then kick butt and go undefeated in big ten play for the next 10 years.

VelociRaptor Congrats to the Ducks for the #1 spot.
I do however protest it mainly because of the strength of the schedule compared to Auburn(beating 3 ranked teams compared to 2) and having 1 more game under their belt. Oregon has shown dominance in thier games so what do I know lol.

I just don't like how so many seem to think that we are running away from something in the Big XII, which I can tell that isn't what you are saying. I also can't blame you rooting against a big rival that is leaving the conference.

I must say after my comment about Gabbert being one of the best quarterbacks he definitely showed Saturday that that is true. Our secondary had perfect coverage so many times that he made the perfect pass on as well as receivers making some great catches.
